Gilded Lilies

Saturday, March 31st, 7:30 p.m,
Holy Cross Church

It is going to be a lovely concert!
I'll be playing beautiful settings of Choral Preludes by Bach and Brahms, Prelude and Fugue by Mendelssohn (mix of baroque form, and very romantic spirit), and dramatic Fugue by Schumann ( based on BACH). The organ and acoustics of Holy Cross Church is such an amazing match - you'll be in haven from the sound!

Featuring Ariose Singers (Michael McGushin, director),
Vlada Moran (organ) & Sheila Willey (soprano).

The Baroque Festival's next concert showcases medieval, renaissance and baroque choral masterworks in their pristine glory, alongside intriguing re-interpretations by later generations of composers, who transformed familiar heirlooms into sensitive and sophisticated new works. Performing are Ariose Singers, a choral ensemble of skilled singers under the direction of Michael McGushin, as well as soprano soloist Sheila Willey, with Vlada Moran on organ. We invite our audience to revel with romantics such as Mendelssohn, Schumann and Brahms and their settings of organ works by J.S. Bach, and Charles Gounod's beloved 'Ave Maria'.
